It seems so imbalanced and odd. It has a triangle of turquoise at the bottom and 14k gold. www.mocium.com

RED lips
I am not a red lipstick person, but I found this one made by NARS and although it is shockingly red, I was compelled to buy it. I really love it and hope for it to be a good practice in my life about being brave (being as bold of a red that it is). I suggest you go to your nearest NARS distributor and try it on for yourself!

Dream Vacation
A couple of years ago, Simple shoes were selling a DIY shoe kit that I totally wanted to get because I am obsessed with hand made, and I am also obsessed with the idea of making my own shoes. I just came across this amazing hand made shoe company called Cordwainer located in Deerfield, NH. Not only do they make beautiful custom made shoes, but they also have weekend shoe workshops and what looks like a Bed and Breakfast on a farm, where you can walk away after a weekend and have a handmade pair of shoes for yourself, made by you. It just sounds like a dream come true getaway for me! (The fee for the weekend is pretty steep) I guess for now I will keep on dreaming about making my own shoes someday. As an afterthought, I have a rich history in figure skating, and from what I understand, Sonja Henie used to have shoes made by Cordwainer!

The perfect white wine
I am not a white wine drinker AT ALL, but it is SO hot in Chicago right now and when it gets this hot, I always start having these fantasies of the perfect crisp white wine that will be ridiculously refreshing and not leave a bad taste in my mouth. I always try at least once per summer, and am ALWAYS let down. Opala vinho verde. It had been catching my eye for the past several visits to the grocery, so I finally broke down, but mind you, with zero expectations.....it is amazing. I got it at Whole Foods for $6.99!!! It tastes more like a Proseco to me because it is a bit frizante. Super refreshing, easy finish, very simple and light. By the way, the bottle glass is a very subtle light blue which I am definitely saving for flowers. I am thinking about going out to buy a whole case now.....

Pimento Cheese?
Pimento Cheese.
So weird, so southern, so yummy.
I have always thought the idea of it to be totally disgusting, but recently decided to give it a go. It is one of the most disgustingly comforting things I have ever eaten. I will be making it from scratch soon and I will report back.
